Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias

Responsibilities
* Provide a multi‑skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance service, delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance in line with project requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Carry out modifications, installations, maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
* Act as an Authorised Person (AP) where appointed and serve as the local point of contact for permit raising within relevant disciplines.
* Liaise effectively with contractors and external suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly and to required standards.
* Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner, reporting any deficiencies that may impact service delivery, health and safety or the environment.
Required Qualifications
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* HND, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering subject (NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance – multi‑discipline preferred).
* A minimum of 5 years' experience (preferably 10 years) within building services and plant engineering.
* Previous appointment as Authorised Person in one or more disciplines, including LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, or Boiler and Pressure Systems.
* Experience working within the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and good knowledge of statutory compliance within buildings.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Numerate and computer literate, with the ability to produce accurate reports and documentation.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of work in line with company policies, procedures, and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
* Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
* Flexibility to support other contract‑specific sites and changes within the contracted estate.
* Training will be provided where required to ensure competence for specific aspects of the role.
