Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Female Support Workers to work with a spinal injury client in Middlesbrough. The client requires full support with Moving and Handling, Personal Care, and Social activities.
The support involves 3 shifts per week, full-time hours, including alternate weekends, from 1800 to 1200 the following day.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting independence and rehabilitation
* Providing personalized, sensitive, and confidential support per care plans
* Understanding and following care plans, consulting healthcare professionals as needed
* Participating in care plan reviews
* Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
* Promoting self-care and self-management
* Assisting with mobility, feeding, washing, bathing, and dressing
* Managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
* Supporting domestic tasks, meal prep, shopping, and appointments
* Providing emotional support
* Using moving and handling equipment safely
* Monitoring skin integrity and health status
* Administering medication as per plan
* Supporting rehabilitation activities
* Responding to health changes and ensuring safety
* Respecting cultural and individual differences
* Documenting progress and changes accurately
An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse is available. Weekly pay is offered. Double Covid vaccination may be mandatory depending on client needs.
