Locum Consultant. 8.5 PA's per week. Fixed term for 10 months.
We are looking for a locum Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in diabetes to join our exceptional Bolton NHS Foundation Trust team to cover maternity leave. It is anticipated that the post would be for 10 months.
We are looking for a highly motivated colleague with excellent communication and team working skills who wants to deliver the best care for our local paediatric population. The post holder should have a special interest in paediatric diabetes, as well as a broad training in general paediatric medicine.
The main duties of the job include:
* Delivering unscheduled care in the Children and Young Person’s unit, comprising an admission and observation unit and inpatient ward.
* Carrying out child protection medical assessments requested by social care under section 47 of the Children’s Act.
* Providing rapid access and outpatient clinics.
* Supervision and training of resident doctors and advanced nurse practitioners.
* Non-resident on-call duties.
