LV Switchgear Sales Director – Europe

A global low voltage switchgear manufacturer is seeking a strategic LV Switchgear Sales Director – Europe to lead commercial growth across the region. This role includes responsibility for a sales and specification team of 10+ people and offers the opportunity to shape regional strategy and drive long-term growth within an established international business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
• Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy for low voltage switchgear and power distribution solutions across Europe
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-border team of sales and specification professionals (10+ staff)
• Expand relationships with key partners including OEMs, panel builders, system integrators, distributors, consultants, and end users
• Identify new market opportunities and strengthen existing revenue streams
• Drive growth across LV switchgear, switchboards, busbar systems, circuit protection and power distribution solutions
• Oversee expansion of service, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities within the installed base
• Contribute to senior-level decision making as part of the regional leadership team
Knowledge of Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, Busbar Systems, MCCs, Circuit Protection and LV Power Distribution would be advantageous.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
• Significant sales leadership experience within the low voltage switchgear or electrical power distribution industry
• Proven track record managing European or regional sales teams and delivering revenue growth
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team of 10+ sales professionals
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on commercial capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Willingness to travel across Europe (typically around one week per month on average)
Experience with leading switchgear manufacturers such as Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, or Siemens, or within a comparable LV switchgear environment, would be a strong advantage.
