History Teacher

We are currently seeking a dynamic History Teacher to join a school in South Cumbria starting in September. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the national curriculum standards.
* Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and development in History.
* Manage classroom settings to ensure a conducive learning environment.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
* Implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation.
* Work collaboratively with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Recent relevant experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
* Excellent classroom management skills and subject knowledge.
* Reliable, committed, and capable of demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
* Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
