About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading independent training, conference, and event centres, set in 40 acres of stunning grounds. With 60 bedrooms, 22 training and meeting rooms, a restaurant, bars, and leisure facilities, we operate much like a hotel — but with a truly personal touch.
We’re proud to offer a varied and creative culinary experience to our clients, with menus ranging from fine dining and buffets to hearty breakfasts, outdoor BBQs, relaxed lunches, and bespoke private events. As an independent venue, we’re free from brand constraints — allowing our kitchen team the freedom to cook fresh, exciting food with style and flair.
Due to continued business growth, we’re now looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly brigade. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and wants to grow and develop within a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of fresh, high-quality food for a variety of service styles

Support senior chefs with food prep, kitchen cleanliness, and daily operations
*
Learn new techniques and contribute creatively to menu ideas
*
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
*
Work flexibly across shifts and service types – no two days are the same
We’re Looking For:

At least 1 year’s kitchen experience in a similar fresh food environment
*
A real passion for food and learning – you want to cook food that looks and tastes amazing
*
A positive, energetic, and flexible approach
*
A strong team player who can also work independently
*
Own transport – our rural location isn’t accessible by public transport

A flexible 40-hour week - pro rota, split shifts, earlies and lates
