This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during a period of substantial growth, offering a dynamic environment and a broad, hands?on finance role.Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys ownership of core processes and wants to develop within a growing organisation.The RoleWorking closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a range of operational finance activities, including:Managing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, investigating and resolving discrepanciesDelivering end to end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legislation and timely paymentsPreparing, reviewing and submitting VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements and internal deadlinesOverseeing supplier payments and account maintenance, including payment runs, query resolution and maintaining effective supplier relationshipsProducing cashflow reports, monitoring cash positions and providing clear analysis to support decision?makingSupporting the month?end close process, including journals, reconciliations and reportingContributing to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the enhancement of processes and controls as the organisation continues to growAbout youPrevious experience in a Finance Officer, Accounting Technician or Senior Accounts Assistant roleStrong working knowledge of payroll, VAT and core accounting processesAAT qualified, part qualified, or equivalent practical experience - support on offer to gain qualifiaction if not alreadyComfortable working autonomously while contributing to a wider finance functionHighly organised, detail focused and proactiveWhat's on offerSupport towards a professional qualificationOpportunity to join a large organisation with long term stability and growth plansA varied role with genuine responsibility and scope for developmentFor more information or a confidential discussion, please apply today or get in touch.
