Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Complex Needs) Location: Bedfordshire Contract Type: Full-Time – Ongoing Locum or Permanent Salary: Competitive (Based on experience & contract type) Start Date: ASAP Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in leading a high-quality children’s residential service? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a 4-bedded children’s residential home in Bedfordshire, supporting children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for: * Leading and developing a committed team to deliver safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care * Ensuring the home complies with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations (2015) * Developing care plans and overseeing risk assessments and safeguarding processes * Managing the home’s budget, rota, and staffing requirements * Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and trauma-informed practice * Building strong partnerships with families, local authorities, and external professionals * Being responsible for the home's registration with Ofsted and preparing for inspections ✅ Requirements * Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding legislation * Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a team * Experience supporting children and young people with complex and high-level needs (e.g. SEMH, trauma, attachment disorders) * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply) What’s On Offer * Full-time, ongoing position – Locum or Permanent contracts available * Supportive senior leadership and clinical guidance * Competitive salary / day rate depending on experience and contract type * Career development and training opportunities * Opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of vulnerable young people Apply Now If you're an experienced and values-driven children’s home professional ready to lead a specialist service in Bedfordshire — apply today to speak with our team and arrange an interview
