Randstad Education partners with multiple secondary schools in Southend-on-Sea to find active, engaged, and motivated teachers on a supply basis. You will be able to work on a daily basis, but this may lead to something more long-term in the future. You might be sent to any of the Southend-on-Sea schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPPLY TEACHER:
7. Make certain that you manage conduct successfully in whatever classes you've been requested to teach
8. Passing on relevant information promptly and effectively within the school
9. Adhering to the assigned cover work and encouraging students to engage in and complete it
10. Taking registers, covering form periods and a variety of lessons/subjects throughout the day
11. Creating a peaceful and effective learning environment for students
12. Dealing with any difficulties that may occur in a timely and professional manner
13. Make sure you arrive on time for the school you've registered for
14. Assuring that you are consistently available for bookings beginning at 7:00 a.m. on each day that you are available for work.
15. When covering that school, adhering to appropriate school regulations
REQUIREMENTS FROM AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
16. Teaching experience and qualifications
17. Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can assist with applying for a new DBS if required)
18. Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
19. Able to reference your recent teaching work (must be able to provide 2 professional references)
20. Commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm
