This role is based at Loran House Care Home in Hull. The home is designed to meet the needs of 46 residents with various age-related, physical, and mental health conditions, requiring respectful and supportive care. It offers a unique reablement service within the community, supporting individuals with short-term respite care post-hospital discharge to ensure a safe and supported return home. Candidates should be patient, understanding, and respectful of residents’ individual needs to promote independence.

Responsibilities of our Day Care Assistant include:
* Assisting residents with personal hygiene and bedtime routines
* Conducting routine welfare checks to ensure safety and well-being
* Supporting residents with dining to maintain good nutrition and hydration
* Encouraging safe mobility with aids and equipment
* Providing companionship and friendship to residents
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Engaging with a multi-disciplinary team to promote residents’ health and well-being
* Welcoming and assisting family members with inquiries
What we’re looking for in our Day Care Assistant:
A genuine caring nature and a desire to make a positive impact on residents’ lives are essential. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is desirable but not required, as full training is provided. Our residents often have age-related, health, mental health, or physical disabilities, requiring respectful and patient support. Candidates should be understanding of individual abilities.
