Oracle Fusion HCM & Payroll Functional Analyst

What you will be doing
The Functional Analyst will perform first‑line support of the HCM and Payroll modules, support the HR Process Lead in reviewing issues and providing resolutions for problem areas, review quarterly opt‑in functionality and lever the continual improvement. Support the delivery of quarterly release testing, particularly the Redwood releases.
* Support configuration and maintenance of Oracle Fusion HCM and Payroll modules (Core HR, Payroll, Recruit, Benefits, Learn, Time & Absence, Remuneration).
* Assist with full lifecycle implementations including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
* Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, HR policies and Oracle best practices.
* Collaborate with other GT IT streams to maintain seamless integrations and data flows.
* Provide training and guidance to HR and Payroll teams on system functionality.
* Act as a subject‑matter expert and liaise with support partners to identify and communicate improvement opportunities.
* Reduce open incidents in the HCM & Payroll stream to a target of 20.
* Deliver quarterly release backlog plans using Customer Success Navigator.
* Maintain and update test plans/scripts with Process Leads to ensure third‑party alignment.
* Support creation of training materials and manage incident updates via GT System SNOW.
About you
* At least 3 years of working in an Oracle Support Team, including level 1 support, call handling and customer interaction.
* Hands‑on experience of delivering quarterly releases – through the cycle of review, test and release.
* Ability to drive hands‑on process improvement as part of the team while taking individual responsibility for continual improvement.
* Academic background in Business Information Systems, Business Management, Computing and Systems Development, Computer Science or a professional qualification in Human Resources and/or Payroll.
* Previous project management experience and pragmatic knowledge of project development methods such as Waterfall and Agile (advantageous).
* Travel to various business locations will be required; a full UK driving licence is necessary.
