Accounts Payable Administrator
* Annual Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per annum
* Location: Didcot, Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week)
Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnering with market leading company in South Oxfordshire who are seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their Finance Team. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations within the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, maintaining records, and supporting internal stakeholders.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Review and process supplier invoices using internal systems such as OCR invoice reader and SAP.
* Ensure invoices match purchase orders and payment terms, obtaining appropriate approvals in line with company policy.
* Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records in finance systems and set up new suppliers in SAP following internal controls.
* Respond to supplier queries efficiently and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Reconcile supplier statements and assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
* Support the preparation of reports and analysis as required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards, providing documentation for audits.
* Manage shared AP mailboxes to ensure timely responses and collaborate across departments to resolve queries and improve processes.
* Participate in system testing, process improvements, and ad hoc finance projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 1–2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role.
* Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel).
* Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
* Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated.
