As a small, specialist company with a global customer base, we're now looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant to help us refresh and grow our marketing presence.
The Role
We're looking for a creative and organised Marketing Assistant to join our friendly team in Derby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a visible impact in a growing business. Working 2–3 days per week, you'll be responsible for creating engaging content, managing our online presence, and supporting the development of marketing materials across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for maintaining and growing our social media presence, creating engaging posts that showcase our products and industry.
* Plan and deliver email campaigns using Mailchimp.
* Create and update content for our WooCommerce website, including product pages, blog posts, and case studies.
* Assist with product photography, image editing, and video content for use across web and social platforms.
* Design marketing assets including banners, brochures, adverts, and other promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
* Support new product launches with creative campaigns and visual content.
* Ensure brand consistency across all channels and materials.
* Collaborate with the wider team on marketing initiatives and suggest fresh ideas to boost our online presence.
Requirements
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere/After Effects a bonus).
* Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Confidence using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook.
* Comfortable taking and editing product photographs.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently within a small team.
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with PPC (Google Ads / paid social).
* Interest in technology, AI, design, or creative industries.
* Prior experience in social media content creation or management.
