What will you be doing
We are a small team currently and are seeking a talented Event Planner to develop and deliver an event to oversee the launch of our new charity this autumn.
Spirit Level Youth Construction gained charitable status in the autumn of 2025 and we provide construction skills training programmes, leading to qualification for black-heritage men between the ages of 16 – 24, who are not currently employed, receiving an education, or engaged in any form of training while living within the London borough of Lambeth.
We are ready to establish ourselves this year and will need the assistance of someone who can get on board with our values, mission and possesses the necessary expertise to commit to this project on a voluntary basis.
Recruiting an experienced Event Planner, with an appreciation of what SLYC stands for in delivering for our service-users – as well as the importance of being able to build and deliver a strategy for the charitys launch.
Key Responsibilities
* To deliver this project on time
* Planning the occasion on the ground, so this is the perfect role for any Events Planner who loves to get stuck in and execute a project
* To elicit interest/participation from the local authority, sponsors, various partners, stakeholders, potential funders, grant‑makers, any other relevant/interested parties and also in the promotion of SLYC
* Be very conversant with social media and digital marketing management
This is a prime opportunity to build on your portfolio from the initial concept to event completion.
