We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our IT team in the position of Master Data Analyst.
The Master Data Analyst at Forterra plc will focus on our core ERP Business System, Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise 1 (JDE). This role is integral in managing the maintenance and integrity of key data within JDE and ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and updated in a timely fashion.
The role will also extend to ensuring data consistency across other systems in the Forterra IT estate.
By overseeing key data processes and ensuring best practices, the Master Data Analyst will contribute to Forterra's operational efficiency, IT and Business Controls, and overall success.
Your duties would include but not limited to the following:
1. Product Data Management: Oversee all aspects of Item setup and Data Setup for New Product Introduction in JDE and i-Theses. Provide advice to users on JDE capabilities and best practices.
2. User Access Management: Audit user data, oversee new user creation, and manage the impact on security and licensing.
3. Metadata Code Management: Maintain Codes and other lookups, provide best practice and advice to users.
4. Ticket Management: Oversee Fresh service requests for Master Data, work with the Service desk to improve Fresh service flows and usability.
5. Monitor data integrity across systems to ensure automated data flows are functioning accurately.
6. Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to assist in data consistency and categorisation to support reporting of key business metrics.
7. Continually review and improve data quality across the system.
8. Project Work: Assist with data setup driven by business projects.
About You
* Relevant experience in managing data in complex IT systems in manufacturing industries and with ERP systems, ideally JDE.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proven problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple tasks.
* Ability to understand and interpret complex data structures and relationships.
* Knowledge of data governance practices and principles.
* Ability to train and mentor other team members on best data management practices.
* Good communication skills; attentive listener; empathetic; well-organized; adaptable; time management skills; team player; professional; critical thinker.
* A-levels or equivalent (Essential)
* MS Office (Essential)
* Familiarity with Service Management procedures (ITIL) (Desirable)
