Main Purpose
The primary role of the Lead Practitioner is to model exemplary teaching and lead the improvement of teaching and learning across the school. This includes providing guidance, coaching, and training to other staff to raise the overall quality of education.
The Lead Practitioner will lead on the development of teaching skills across the school by demonstrating high-quality teaching, supporting colleagues in their professional growth, and promoting innovative approaches to pedagogy.

The successful applicant will be committed to continually improving their own practice, while inspiring colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes. You will play a key role in helping students achieve high aspirations and share our belief that every student deserves an exceptional curriculum and outstanding teaching.
Key Responsibilities
* Model outstanding teaching and learning practices in Business and Economics
* Lead initiatives to improve teaching standards across the school
* Coach, mentor, and support colleagues to develop their teaching skills
* Deliver training sessions and professional development for staff
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Business, and Key Stage 5 Economics
* Contribute to curriculum development and ensure lessons are engaging, challenging, and relevant
* Support Enterprise Education initiatives, particularly Young Enterprise, as part of promoting real-world learning opportunities
* Work collaboratively with the Head of Business and Economics and the Assistant Headteacher to support school-wide improvement strategies
