Machinist / Operative required to join a well-established company that specialises in the manufacturing of high-performance bimetallic components used in electrical, automotive, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will come from some sort of machining background, either Manual or CNC and be willing to learn something completely new.
Rolling Mill Setter Job Overview
Setting and operating rolling mills, slitting (also referred to as shearing) machines, loading furnaces, in a busy factory environment.
The company appreciates this is a niche industry, so therefore full and comprehensive training will be given to the right candidate.
Rolling Mill Setter Job Requirements
GCSE Grade C (Level 4) minimum in both Maths and English language. (Also accepted in iGCSE or international equivalents)
Background in the metal industry is advantages
Strip / coiled metal experience is also advantageous
High mechanical understanding (will be tested in interview).
Looking for long-term position (training lasts 6 - 12 months).
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ideally has experience with ERP systems like SAP (Maths, Excel will be tested in interview).
Receptive to working over-time at short notice (after 16:30, or Saturday mornings).
Rolling Mill Setter Salary & Benefits
Full time - Permanent
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 4:30pm (3pm finish on Fridays)
Salary - £13 - £14 (DOE)
