About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a dynamic Science Department from September 2025. You will provide essential support for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons, ensuring the smooth preparation and safe delivery of practical experiments.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons
* Support teaching staff during practical sessions
* Maintain stock levels and ensure safe storage and disposal of chemicals
* Assist with the development of science lesson resources
* Uphold health and safety standards in all lab activities
* Ensure the science labs are clean, well-organized, and fully equipped
Candidate Requirements
* Prior experience working as a Science Technician in a UK secondary school
* Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and Health & Safety regulations
* Confidence in handling chemicals and preparing experiments across all three sciences
* Relevant qualifications or experience in a science-related field
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one before starting
