Role Summary
This role reports to the Project Director (Future Service Delivery) and is responsible for the structured delivery of projects within Xoserve’s change portfolio. The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and execution of projects, ensuring alignment to agreed scope, time, cost and quality objectives. The role operates across a multi-programme environment, managing dependencies, risks and stakeholders to support consistent and controlled delivery. It requires close collaboration with business, technology and delivery teams to ensure that initiatives are implemented effectively and integrated into existing operations.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Deliver projects in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality parameters
* Develop and maintain project plans, controls and documentation to support structured delivery
* Monitor project performance and take corrective action where required to maintain delivery outcomes
Stakeholder Management
* Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams
* Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, progress and delivery outcomes
* Communicate clearly and consistently, providing appropriate updates at all levels
Governance & Control
* Maintain effective governance by preparing and presenting updates to programme boards and decision forums
* Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation
* Ensure adherence to Xoserve’s delivery frameworks, standards and controls
Coordination & Integration
* Coordinate internal resources and third‑party suppliers to ensure delivery activities are aligned and integrated
* Support the integration of project outputs into business operations, working closely with relevant teams
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of delivery practices, tools and processes
* Identify opportunities to strengthen project management approaches across the organisation
Specialist/Technical Expertise
* Strong knowledge of structured project management methodologies, with proven experience of applying them appropriately to different project contexts
* Relevant professional certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile certifications)
* Experience of technology-enabled transformation, such as systems implementation or data-led change
* Experience delivering within complex change environments, managing dependencies across projects or programmes
* Exposure to portfolio-level delivery or multi-programme environments
* Strong understanding of project governance, including planning, reporting, risk and issue management
* Experience of budget tracking, forecasting and financial control within projects
* Ability to analyse and interpret project data, metrics and performance indicators
* Experience of working across business and technology teams to deliver change initiatives
* Proficient in project and portfolio management tools
* Experience managing third-party suppliers or delivery partners
* Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments
* Knowledge of the utilities sector
