CNC Setter - Double Days
Recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Setter. Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Setter will be responsible for the following.
Responsibilities
* Support production on a daily basis.
* Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
* Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
* Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
* Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
* Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWI’s.
* Set procedures and standards.
* Drive TPM and 5S.
* Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly.
* Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
* Promote the company’s HSE policies across the department and plant.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a minimum of an apprenticeship or formal qualification and proven experience in CNC machine setting.
