What you will do: As a Sales Representative you will consult with dealers to market Caterpillar Building Construction Products and Services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability within the Northern District. As a Sales Representative, your accountable for, but not limited to: - Responsible for selling the full range of products and solutions (integrated solutions), whilst supporting dealers developing short and long-term sales strategies to provide a strong value proposition to different customer segments (Retail, Corporate Accounts, Rental). - Exceed Business Plan Sales and Market Share targets for all machines, work tools and Customer Value Agreements (Aftermarket) at points of sale in the assigned territory. - Accountable for the merchandising support budget for the assigned territory. - Assisting dealers on demand and supply management targeting to have optimal pipeline on ground to achieve business goals. - Supporting dealers in tender business by recommending the right combination of products & services fitting to the requirements and managing the pipeline to meet the deadlines. - Supporting dealer and Caterpillar marketing teams to deliver tailor made campaigns to acquire new customers with low cost. - Analysing and communicating marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers NB. Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems. Demonstrates an acute focus on the customer, aligning customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in creating customer solutions. - Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. Presents product, technology or service costs and benefits in reaction to prospect or customer requests. Documents proposed product/service solutions to be presented to potential customers. Demonstrates ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors, and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. Top Candidates Will Have: - Excellent communication skills in English, with a second European language desirable - Knowledge of Caterpillar products, merchandising programs, and warranty practices and procedures. - Current & proven track record of success in an internal or external field representative role in construction equipment industry. - Effectively work with others both internal and external and ability to work independently - Demonstrated the ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments - Demonstrated ability to adapt change, creating & leading tactics matching market needs. - Experience in creating roadmaps with dealers to achieve sustainable growth. - Understanding of local customer trends / market needs and ability to provide supporting business cases for future product offerings.
