Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Bathroom and Kitchen Showroom Consultant role based in Plymouth. The consultant will welcome customers into the showroom, understand their needs, and guide them through suitable bathroom and kitchen product options, layouts, and design ideas. Day‑to‑day tasks include providing product demonstrations, preparing quotations, processing orders, and following up on leads from online and in‑store enquiries. The role involves maintaining showroom displays, ensuring that product information is up to date, and supporting stock checks and merchandising. The consultant will also collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and, where relevant, installers or trade partners to help ensure a smooth customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Qualifications
* Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, ask effective questions, and convert enquiries into orders.
* Product knowledge or strong interest in bathrooms, kitchens, and home improvement, with a willingness to learn technical details and specifications.
* Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, professional telephone manner, and confident face‑to‑face interaction.
* Basic IT and administrative skills, including use of email, order entry systems, and quotation or CRM tools.
* Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple customer enquiries, quotes, and follow‑ups accurately.
* Ability to work on‑site full time in Plymouth, including flexibility to work weekends or peak trading hours as required.
* Previous experience in retail, showroom, sales, or a customer‑facing role is desirable; experience in bathrooms, kitchens, or interiors is an advantage.
* Comfort working in a small team environment, with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues and maintaining a tidy, welcoming showroom.
