Role Purpose As IT Project Engineer, you will act as the technical lead and commissioning engineer across multiple project sites. Working closely with the IT Project Manager and customers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee structured fibre and copper cabling installations, Wi-Fi access points, and high-level bracket-mounted IP CCTV camera systems – often working at height and within swimming pool environments. This is a mobile role involving regional travel and regular working from home. Key Responsibilities Supervise multiple installation teams across multi-site projects Deliver daily progress updates project plans Conduct detailed site surveys using Matterport technology Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project documentation Maintain exceptional technical and quality standards across al installations Lead commissioning and provide engineering support on-site Customer Engagement Act as the primary on-site contact for customers Attend client meetings and communicate professionally at all times Deliver on-site training to customer representatives and end users Ensure installations meet and exceed customer expectations Team Leadership Provide hands-on technical guidance and coaching Deliver clear performance feedback Promote a strong “one team” culture Take ownership and resolve issues proactively Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Deliver toolbox talks, RAMS, and method statements Ensure safe systems of work, particularly at height and over swimming pools Maintain accurate installation, inspection, and asset tagging records Ensure full compliance with H&S regulations and company standards Quality control installations at every stage Commercial Awareness Understand project financial controls Manage labour, materials, and equipment efficiently Deliver projects within cost-to-complete targets Identify opportunities for improved efficiency Essential Skills and Experience Relevant Electrical qualification with significant industry experience Proven experience installation IP CCTV cameras and bracket systems Certified structed data cabling installation experience Data rack building, termination, and upgrade expertise Strong experience supervising installation teams across multiple sites IPAF 3a & 3b / MEWP City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling ECS (Gold preferred) & CSCS card SMSTS CNCI certified Matterport survey technology experience Experience supervising working at height (scaffolding, ladders, lifts) Experience installing channel support bracket systems UK Driving Licence Able swimmer (work conducted on platforms over swimming pools) Flexible for night shifts (20:00-06:00) Excellent safety record Desirable Experience Network switching knowledge Wi-Fi technologies and access point installation What’s in It for You Competitive salary and benefits package Genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing business The chance to work on high-profile, technically interesting projects A supportive, experienced team that values planning, professionalism, and quality We’re expanding, innovating, and building for the future — and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
