Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 3 – Onsite Deployment Engineer!
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Onsite Deployment Engineers to support a device refresh project. This is a hands-on role involving laptop setup, configuration, and user support in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Location: London, E20 1JN
Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £ (PAYE) OR £ per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrellapany)
Contract Length: up to 31st July
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri (09:00 – 17:30)
Key Responsibilities
1. Transport, move, and distribute IT equipment (PCs, monitors, peripherals, network devices) across three floors.
2. Unpack, assemble, and place equipment at assigned desks or designated areas.
3. Perform basic hardware installation, including connecting cables, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
4. Assist the technical team with device imaging, configuration, and testing.
5. Label and inventory all equipment in accordance with project standards.
6. Remove and securely dispose of all packaging materials.
7. Follow safety guidelines and manual-handling best practices at all times.
8. Collaborate with IT team members to ensure smooth and timely deployment.
Key Requirements
SC Clearance
Experience in corporate IT environments
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software
Ability to manage laptop and device handover across multiple users and sites
Familiarity with asset management systems and documentation
Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and stakeholders
