Brett Martin, a recognised leader in plastics and building products manufacturing, is seeking a detail-focused Purchasing Administrator to support our procurement and stock control processes. In this key support role, youll ensure the timely booking of materials, consumables and engineering supplies, maintain accurate stock records, and work closely with Production, Maintenance and Procurement to keep operations running smoothly. Were looking for someone with strong organisational skills, good communication, and experience in a purchasing or procurement environment. Confidence using ERP/MRP systems and managing stock transactions will be an advantage. About The Role Main tasks and duties Follow company systems and procedures for stock control and management using Dynamics 365 (ERP/MRP); Receive authorised requisitions, place and progress orders; book receipts into stock Receiving, checking and recording deliveries into stock together with returns from Production Directing deliveries of raw materials to Production facilities and recording them; Set re-order levels and replenish stocks as appropriate; Allocation of part numbers to new stock items; Maintain issue records and charge out engineering and consumables and engineering/electrical issues to user; Stock-checks and reconciliations; monitor obsolete and slow-moving items; Daily issues of maintenance stocks to Production; Assist with delivery/price and discount queries; Maintain tight control over all paperwork associated with deliveries and orders. Communications Ensure communications are maintained at the highest possible level between management and the workforce and keep your manager advised of impending situations which could develop into more serious problems; Develop mutual respect with employees, by ensuring that all dealings are objective and impartial. Health & Safety Through good housekeeping procedures ensure that a safe and clean working environment is kept at all times.
