Bolt Technical are exclusively hiring for our client, an ambitious and fast-growing electronics components distributor, who are launching a brand-new franchised product line distribution division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced electronic components professional with strong manufacturer relationships and a background in franchised distribution.
As the second hire into this high-growth unit, youll play a pivotal role in building, shaping, and scaling a specialist distribution network across the UK and beyond - combining autonomy, commercial influence, and an equity opportunity through EMI share options.
You will also be responsible for expanding the product portfolio and supporting design-in sales opportunities to help clients integrate new components into their products.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and launch a franchised distribution network from the ground up.
Leverage existing manufacturer and supplier relationships to secure franchise agreements.
Identify, assess, and onboard specialist electronic component product lines, driving product portfolio expansion .
Support design-in selling, helping clients specify and integrate components into new designs.
Lead commercial negotiations with manufacturers and distribution partners.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new franchises, product categories, and design-in opportunities.
Work closely with internal sales teams to maximize revenue and product visibility.
Provide forecasting, product planning, and strategic insight to leadership.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Collaborate with leadership and the wider team to establish systems, processes, and best practices.
Visit HQ in South East of the UK twice per month
What Theyre Looking For:
Active, established relationships with electronic component manufacturers.
Proven experience in franchised distribution, product management, or specialist component sales.
Strong knowledge of the electronic components market and distribution ecosystem.
Experience in product portfolio expansion and design-in selling.
Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working autonomously in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Ability to travel as required, including twice-monthly HQ visits.
Desirable:
Experience launching or scaling a distribution line or business unit.
Technical understanding of specialist or hard-to-find components.
Exposure to start-up or fast-growth commercial environments.
