SEN LSA
The Role
You’ll work with class teachers and the SENCO to run short, structured group sessions that target literacy, numeracy and social communication. You’ll adapt tasks, prompt routines, use visual supports, and keep brief notes on progress so next steps are clear.
The Candidate
You communicate clearly, build trust quickly and bring a patient, consistent approach. You can follow support plans, keep expectations firm, and help pupils regulate so they’re ready to learn.
Requirements
* Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
* Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
* Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, pupil wellbeing and progress.
* Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
