 
        
        At the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), we take testing very seriously and automate as much as we can. Our Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) build best‑in‑class test automation software so that we can deliver products quickly and safely.
Responsibilities
 * Develop and execute test‑automation frameworks.
 * Work in an agile environment with product development teams.
 * Ensure good engineering practices and knowledge sharing within your team.
 * Collaborate with business analysts and agile delivery managers to prepare and review user stories and tasks.
 * Help ensure our services are resilient and supported.
Qualifications
 * Proficient in automation testing using modern programming languages.
 * Experience improving QA efficiency through test automation, tools and continuous testing principles to accelerate feedback.
 * High attention to detail, willing to challenge when required and thrive in a fast‑paced Agile delivery environment.
 * Practitioner of modern development standards and programming & build practices.
Security & Vetting
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before appointment. The required level is a security check, and candidates must have a minimum of five years continuous residency in the United Kingdom.

DVLA does not hold a UK Visa & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker License sponsor and cannot sponsor individuals for Skilled Worker Sponsorship.
