About the role
We are seeking Band 2 Care Workers to join our team at Granville Court, a home for individuals with profound multiple learning disabilities and complex healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
* Support residents in daily activities while maintaining their dignity and individuality.
* Collaborate with nursing staff, healthcare assistants, activity coordinators and care colleges to provide holistic care.
* Participate in induction, mandatory and bespoke training programmes.
* Adapt care plans to meet residents’ changing needs.
* Contribute to a compassionate, kind, and respectful care environment.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Awareness of health and safety at work.
* Knowledge relating to supporting individuals with a profound learning disability.
* Care certificate or relevant experience in a care delivery environment, or willingness to undertake further study.
* Standard IT skills.
* Care Certificate or NVQ 2 in Health or Social Care.
Experience
* Experience of working in a care setting or with the public in either paid or voluntary setting.
* Experience of working with people with a learning disability.
Skills and Competencies
* Good interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to work with care and compassion.
* Ability to support people with profound and multiple learning disabilities throughout their care journey.
