Protocol Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist setting in Cheltenham for children and young people with additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. This rewarding role will see you working within small class groups, supporting pupils both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
2. Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activities.
3. Support behaviour management using positive strategies.
4. Encourage pupils to develop independence, social skills, and confidence.
5. Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Candidate Requirements
6. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).
7. Knowledge of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. A patient, calm, and adaptable approach.
10. An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through the agency).
