THE ROLE
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs within a cloud-native microservices environment to support high-traffic digital platforms.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
* Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services within a microservices architecture.
* Develop high-quality APIs using GraphQL and REST to support web and mobile applications.
* Work closely with product, frontend, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Contribute to code quality, performance, and reliability through best engineering practices.
* Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ways of working.
* Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and well-documented solutions.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Senior Backend Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
* Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
* Proven ability to build and maintain microservices-based systems.
* Experience designing and consuming GraphQL and REST APIs.
* Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Good knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including testing and automation.
* A collaborative mindset and passion for building scalable, maintainable system
BENEFITS

* Salary between £70,000 - £90,000 - depending on experience
