Job Description
We're recruiting for a new role within a small, dynamic team in a business that distributes well-known products and brands across the UK and Europe. We are seeking an Assistant Sales Planner to join on a temp-to-perm basis at their Milton Keynes office.
This opportunity is rare, as the team has experienced significant revenue growth over the past 3-4 years and has introduced new brands into their portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and developing these new brands, providing an immediate impact and a chance to make your mark within the company.
The team is considered the "hub" of the office, engaging with all departments including finance, e-commerce, marketing, and international orders. Daily tasks will include ranging, forecasting, stock management, pricing, sales analysis, and more. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Merchandising, Buying, or an analytical role.
The role will initially involve managing three small and growing brands, each offering different learning opportunities about the business. Proficiency in Excel (basic functions like VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and working with sheets and databases) is essential.

The Milton Keynes office provides subsidised parking, and the role supports a hybrid working model—2 days on-site and 3 days remote, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
This is a temporary position starting immediately, expected to go permanent after 5 months with a salary of up to £30,000 plus benefits. During the temp period, the hourly rate will be equivalent to this salary.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Reporting: Creating, maintaining, reviewing, and publishing reports.
* Forecasting: Assisting with seasonal sales forecasts and owning forecasts for three brands.
* Stock Management: Monitoring stock levels, identifying gaps, and coordinating stock transfers.
* Stock Transfers: Creating internal transfer orders between EU warehouses, US, and Asia.
* Price Lists: Maintaining and publishing up-to-date product and pricing information.
* Ad-hoc tasks: Supporting the Sales Planning Manager as needed.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in Merchandising, Buying, or Analytics is preferred.
* Confident in MS Excel, capable of working with spreadsheets and databases.
* Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
* Must be able to commute to Milton Keynes at least twice a week.
