Role Overview
We have a 9 months fixed term post in our North team, and the postholder's base will be Danestrete Health Centre in Stevenage. You will lead an integrated team of therapists and assistant practitioners together with a team lead partner, and work alongside other team lead colleagues; and be supported by Operational leads. You will be expected to use leadership skills to support a high functioning specialist team. You will have day to day operational responsibility for a quality service delivery, as well as the opportunity to take on service development projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day to day management of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team, and provide support to a team of therapists and assistant practitioners ensuring an effective and high functioning team.
* Ensure the policies and procedures of HCT are implemented and adhered to at all times and that team members are familiar with them.
* Ensure that staff perform effectively and safely, taking appropriate action and escalating as necessary.
* Contribute actively to the promotion of CYP Therapies as a profession.
* Participate in the recruitment and retention of staff.
* Work alongside operational colleagues to ensure adequate management cover at all times.
* Lead on the continuous professional development of the workforce, supporting the Operational Lead with the development of services, performance capability, governance initiatives and the development of policy and practice.
* Demonstrate positive and effective communication with others.
* Be flexible in their approach and have resilience under pressure.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist.
* Passion for building teams, providing innovative and evidence‑based services, and keen to develop leadership skills.
* Full valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
