Overview
The School of Biomedical Sciences is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Genetics. You will contribute to teaching across a range of programmes, and your enthusiasm for your subject will extend to providing excellent teaching and mentoring at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, informed by excellent scholarship and your own research experience. You will lead the teaching of genetics and genomics for our Biomedical Science programmes. You will contribute to teaching through lectures, practicals, tutorials and workshops. You will provide pastoral care to a tutor group and contribute to academic administration as required. You will also have a strong research background and be equipped to contribute to our faculty research activities and develop your own research proposals.
We're looking for a motivated individual, who has a strong interest in teaching and can contribute to our research outputs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualifications/Education: You will have a degree and PhD in a relevant area
* Experience: You will have recent, relevant teaching and research experience
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required
