Join a prestigious, multi-service law firm based in Hertfordshire, recognized for its award-winning legal advice and top-tier legal accreditation. They are seeking a Private Client Legal Secretary to join their highly regarded Private Client team.
The role involves providing exceptional secretarial and administrative support to at least two lawyers. The Private Client team is one of the largest and most experienced in Hertfordshire, with four partners, senior associates, solicitors, and legal assistants. The firm is ranked Tier 1 in Legal and Band 1 in Chambers HNW.
Key responsibilities include:
* Handling client inquiries and managing appointments when lawyers are unavailable
* Opening and closing client files, including money laundering checks and risk management tasks
* Maintaining diaries, scheduling meetings, and handling communications
* Assisting with document management, including typing, drafting letters, and processing deeds
* Liaising with the accounts team for financial administration
* Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, archiving, and organizing office space
* Supporting IT and office equipment, reporting issues as needed
* Collaborating with the team and providing secretarial and phone cover when necessary
* Adhering to firm policies and ensuring high standards of client service
The ideal candidate will have previous legal secretarial experience, excellent client service and communication skills, fast and accurate typing (minimum WPM), and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
