SALARY : 37,303 per annum OTE HOURS : 45 hours per week, any 5 days in 7, including weekends. ABOUT US The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Recognised in the Top 50 Gastropubs, the Top 50 Boutique Hotels, and awarded 3 AA Rosettes, The Wild Rabbit blends culinary excellence with warm, authentic hospitality. Working in close connection with Daylesford Farm, our menus showcase the best seasonal, organic produce, crafted with skill and creativity. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Callum Graham, our team combines classical technique with modern inspiration, making The Wild Rabbit one of the most exciting fine dining destinations in the Cotswolds. The on target earning potential for this role is 37,303 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of 30,303 plus a qualified estimate of 7,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Rang to join our front-of-house team. This role is about more than service - it's about creating memorable guest experiences that reflect both the precision of fine dining and the warmth of genuine hospitality. As Chef de Rang, you will take ownership of your section, working seamlessly with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver a flawless guest journey. From presenting dishes with knowledge and confidence to guiding guests through our wine and drinks lists, you will play a central role in shaping every detail of the dining experience. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Service & Guest Experience Take ownership of a section, ensuring smooth, polished service throughout each service period Deliver attentive, personalised hospitality, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations Present dishes and beverages with confidence, sharing the provenance, sustainability, and craft behind them Maintain impeccable standards of timing, table setup, and flow of service Resolve guest concerns with warmth, professionalism, and discretion Food & Beverage Knowledge Build a strong understanding of menus, working closely with Callum Graham and the kitchen team to bring dishes to life Demonstrate excellent knowledge of wines, cocktails, beers, and spirits, offering tailored recommendations to guests Communicate allergens and dietary requirements clearly and confidently Collaborate with the sommelier and bar teams to enrich the guest journey and elevate standards of service Teamwork & Standards Support the wider FOH team across restaurant, bar, and hotel service Lead by example with professionalism, grooming, and communication Uphold and refine service standards, contributing to The Wild Rabbit's fine dining aspirations Align with our sustainability ethos, supporting our B Corp commitments SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Previous experience as a Chef de Rang or in a fine dining environment Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge with a genuine passion for hospitality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build natural rapport Attention to detail and the confidence to manage your own section Calm, professional, and efficient in high-pressure situations Flexible, reliable, and driven to grow with The Wild Rabbit's ambitions PERKS & BENEFITS Discounts: A range of discounts on our products, treatments, and dining experiences from day one Volunteering Days: One paid day per year to volunteer with a charity of your choice Private Medical: Subsidised private medical insurance through Bupa Pension Scheme: Pay up to 9% of your salary into your pension each month; we contribute up to 4.5% Life Assurance: Cover equivalent to one year of your annual salary Mental Health Support: 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme *About gratuities & service charge: Gratuities are paid on a pro-rata basis.
