Overview

Our Design Managers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our local design teams are involved in large partnership initiatives such as Hull and East Riding's Living with Water partnership, award-winning projects such as the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland, along with a number of other UK wide opportunities. This includes Yorkshire Water's Storm Overflow Alliance, United Utilities' Design Development Partnership, Northumbrian Water's Strategic Technical Partnership and more across the UK.
As Design Manager, you will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client, plan technical delivery, and lead the multidisciplinary team throughout the project. You will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence. You will have access to Stantec's world-class expertise to help you deliver leading edge design.

Qualifications
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) engineer; ideally chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE). Support can be given to achieve this if required.
* Experience of working in a similar position, with a technical background in Civils, MEICA, Process or other relevant discipline.
