Scientific Director – Cosmetics Toxicology – Global Impact
We are conducting a confidential search for a Scientific Director to join a large, well-established, science-led organisation operating at a global level. The company’s success is built on rigorous safety science, strong regulatory governance, and long-term investment in research and innovation. Toxicology plays a central role in its decision-making, particularly in the assessment of complex cosmetic ingredients and formulations within a highly regulated environment.
This role is intended for a senior toxicologist with substantial hands-on experience in cosmetic safety assessment who wishes to operate as a recognised technical authority rather than a people manager. You will provide expert judgement on complex toxicological and regulatory questions, guide internal stakeholders on safety and compliance matters, and influence how scientific data is interpreted and applied across product portfolios. The organisation is highly engaged with external scientific and regulatory communities, offering meaningful scope to contribute to industry-level discussions and advocacy.
The working environment is stable, professional, and science-focused, with a strong emphasis on quality, credibility, and long-term contribution. The company values deep subject-matter expertise and provides the platform, visibility, and resources for senior toxicologists to focus on high-impact scientific work rather than line management. This is an opportunity to apply advanced cosmetic toxicology expertise in a setting where scientific rigour directly informs strategic outcomes.
