Job Overview
This CAMHS Secretary/Administrator will provide administrative support to multidisciplinary teams within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), primarily supporting P‑CAMHS and CORE CAMHS CMHT teams. The role supports the service through the WCCIS system and works closely with the CAMHS Service Improvement Manager and the SMT Admin Coordinator. It also supports the referral to treatment (RTT) function within CAMHS.
Main Duties
* Provide secretarial and administrative support to various multidisciplinary teams in CAMHS.
* Use the WCCIS system for administrative tasks.
* Communicate with families and children who are patients of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service.
* Respond appropriately to enquiries, including dealing with angry, distressed or confused callers.
* Respond to suspected or actual disclosures where Child Protection is a concern.
* Manage a varied work schedule and support multiple teams as required.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* Experience and knowledge of administrative procedures and systems.
* Vocational Level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Desirable Criteria
* Secretarial qualification, including mental health terminology.
Experience
Essential Criteria
* Relevant proven secretarial / administrative experience in public services.
* Experience in dealing with the general public.
* Audio typing experience.
Desirable Criteria
* Secretarial experience within a mental health/health setting.
* Supervision of an administrative/reception or health records team.

* Good knowledge of IT & Microsoft Office packages.
