As a Patient Experience & Engagement Lead Nurse / AHP at DHU Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the patient voice, embedding equality and inclusivity, and driving continuous improvement in patient experience across all our services. You'll provide senior clinical leadership to deliver DHU's Patient Engagement & Involvement Strategy (2023-26), ensuring patient feedback informs meaningful change.
What your typical day looks like: Act as the senior clinical lead for patient experience, providing expertise, leadership and assurance across DHU services.
Lead and develop patient representatives, advocates and forums, ensuring all voices - including seldom-heard communities are heard and influence service development.
Implement and embed the Civica system, ensuring data and insights drive service improvement and learning.
Provide high-quality reports and analysis to the Patient Participation and Involvement Sub-Committee.
Work collaboratively with senior leaders and teams to translate patient feedback into measurable improvements in care and outcomes.
Line manage and develop the Patient Experience Team, fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence (CARE values).
Ensure compliance with CQC, NHS England and ICS standards for patient experience, equality, and inclusion.
To be a successful Patient Experience & Engagement Lead Nurse, you'll need: Current registration with NMC or HCPC.
Significant experience in patient experience, service improvement or clinical governance.
Proven ability to lead projects or initiatives that improved patient-centred care.
Experience working with patient representatives or advocacy groups.
In-depth understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
Strong analytical skills and confidence in interpreting patient feedback data to drive improvement.
Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
Experience of supervising or managing staff.
Experience using digital engagement systems.
