A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Sergeant OR7 (Any Profession) to serve as FS CDT at RAF Wittering on FTRS (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). Whilst the post is formally established at RAF Wittering, the successful candidate will be required to manage and conduct regionalised compulsory drug testing (Midlands and North Yorkshire). Flight Sergeant Compulsory Drugs Testing Officer 5 (FS CDTO 5) will be responsible to SO3 Spec Cswrk & CDT through WO CDT, for the following tasks: a. Planning, coordinating and implementing an approved annual, region, CDT programme IAW JSP 835 for their respective AOR which combined ensures that each year the RAF CDT Team subject RAF personnel to 25,000 tests. b. Actively cover other CDTO regions, when necessary, for example, during periods of leave, mass testing etc. There is a requirement to work flexibly across locations including overnight stays in the UK and abroad. c. Actively review the positive results register for your region prior to each test schedule. This includes checking for personnel on the Individual Re-Test List (IRT) and liaising with unit SD to enable testing of these personnel. d. Exercise command and control of the test site. e. Training unit personnel to complete their duties as Collection Assistants, Monitors and Computer Operators. f. Manage levels of CDT role equipment to ensure that there are sufficient supplies to support the planned testing programme. g. Making necessary travel arrangements to support the wider implementation of the testing programme. h. Ensure your issued MT vehicle, paperwork and administration are all in date and serviceable. i. Monitor and report your monthly EPC expenditure ensuring it remains within the set parameters for spending and regulation. j. Complete the CDT Officer course at Upavon. k. Attend monthly and adhoc meetings as directed by SO3 Specialist Casework.
