This is a full time permanent role with attendance at our head office in Widnes at least once a week so our ideal candidate will be based within an hours commute of Widnes. Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
In this varied and high-profile role, you will be at the heart of our finance function, ensuring the integrity and clarity of financial information:
7. Producing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
8. Supporting the month-end process, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely reporting
9. Analysing income and expenditure to provide clear, actionable insights
10. Partnering with operational teams to help them understand and manage financial performance
11. Investigating variances, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement
12. Developing and enhancing reporting tools, including supporting Power BI adoption
13. Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries across the organisation
Your work will directly support better financial decisions across our services—helping ensure resources are used effectively and that the people we support receive the very best care and opportunities.
Your values:
Our ideal candidate:
14. AAT qualified (or equivalent), with study towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or QBE)
15. Solid experience in management accounting (ideally in charity, healthcare, or social care)
16. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
17. Experience turning large data sets into clear, meaningful reports
18. Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
19. Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and a strong problem solver
20. Experience with Power BI (desirable)
