The role As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key part in helping pupils feel supported and engaged in their learning. You’ll work closely with teachers and the wider support team to make a positive difference every day. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils in lessons, either 1:1 or in small groups Helping young people access the curriculum in a way that works for them Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong, trusting relationships Supporting pupils with additional learning or emotional needs Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN teams What we’re looking for Experience working with children or young people, in a school or similar setting A calm, patient, and caring approach Confidence supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom A genuine commitment to helping pupils thrive An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply Experience supporting SEND is an advantage, but not essential.
