About the Role

Our projects are more than just your opportunity to make your mark. They’re an opportunity to stretch, test and develop your expertise. Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Senior Planner on the Sizewell C Project and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

Sizewell C

Sizewell C will create a 3.2 gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B, which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions. Our proposal is to build a new nuclear power station on the East Suffolk coast which will supply 6 million homes with low‑carbon electricity.

Role Purpose

* Lead and coordinate cross‑functional planning activities across multiple workstreams.
* Ensure that all integrated planning processes are consistent and efficient with strategic project objectives and support the team in the development of the integrated schedule.
* Provide expert guidance to maintain coherence between design, procurement, manufacture and installation phases of the project.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Lead the development, integration and maintenance of the transverse scope within the overall detailed schedule.
* Conduct critical path analysis, float management and scenario planning.
* Lead schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.
* Mentor planning engineers ensuring consistency in methodology, reporting and control standards.
* Produce and present high‑level planning reports and forecasts to key stakeholders.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes within the team to maintain a robust schedule and monthly way of working (including change control processes).
* Lead live planning sessions within the team, wider DLT and key stakeholders where required to support key development areas of the schedule.
* Look ahead to support upcoming phases with proactive planning.
* Understand the high‑level scope across each function to enable a consistent approach to common (transverse) activities.

Who We’re Looking For

* Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
* Experience in project planning with experience working within the nuclear sector.
* Experience of working on large‑scale projects.
* Advanced user of Primavera P6.
* Strong technical understanding.
