This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers both long-term opportunities and flexible day-to-day work within supportive school environments. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in their learning. About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) Support students aged 4–16 years old across primary and secondary settings Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons Support pupils with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment Encourage independence, engagement and social development Support behaviour management strategies and pastoral development The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will: Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN Be patient, empathetic and supportive in their approach Have strong communication and teamwork skills Be confident supporting students with different learning needs Be committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential Why Work with Choice Teachers?
