Join to apply for the Real Estate Tax Associate Director role at Grant Thornton UK.
We advise real estate funds, global institutional investors, REITs, private investors, and the public sector on investment into UK and pan-European real estate, providing tax structuring, tax compliance and tax due diligence advice across all real estate sectors including commercial, office, student housing, industrial, logistics, retail and hotels. Responsibilities
* Be part of a high performing team with opportunities to work with high profile clients and on challenging projects.
* Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.
* Work with major clients on multi-jurisdictional real estate and infrastructure transactions, across a range of deal sizes; potential for rapid promotion at all levels.
* Own your own work and lead from the front in client delivery and engagement with Real Estate and broader Tax teams, with support from Partners and Directors.
Qualifications
* ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent
* UK corporate tax experience, ideally within the Real Estate sector
* Experience of mentoring or coaching junior team members and supporting career development
Preferably, experience in the UK Real Estate market and demonstrable business development experience, including collaborating with Partner and Director teams to build relationships on key accounts.
Skills (nice to have)
* Tax structuring for buying and selling properties in a tax-efficient manner
* International tax advice and due diligence on cross-border transactions
* Participation and leadership in business development initiatives and proposal activity
* Tax compliance and ongoing advisory for clients
* Setting up property funds including UK Real Estate Investment Trusts
