Job title Operations Manager Location Co Armagh Job Purpose The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily business operations, improving operational efficiency, driving profitability, and preparing to transition into the role of Managing Director. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management to ensure sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations across departments. Ensure operational processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company goals. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor operational costs and profitability. Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and staff. Foster a high-performance and accountability-driven culture. Support recruitment, succession planning, and talent development. Maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery. Monitor and improve operational performance through effective KPI management. Support new product introduction and process development activities. Oversee and continuously improve the supply chain, ensuring efficient operations, strong supplier relationships, and effective delivery performance. Person Specification Degree in an applicable Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical or Manufacturing) or proven track record in a senior operations leadership role Strong technical understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes. Significant senior management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Demonstrable experience of delivering operational, financial, and strategic objectives. Strong understanding of quality management systems (AS9100 / ISO9001) and health and safety legislation. Exceptional leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to handle complex challenges and responsibilities. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and practical experience in the use of ERP systems.
