Role: Head of Safety, Security Partner Relations & C3i Location: Wembley Stadium, London Contract: Fixed-term contract | ASAP start – Summer 2028 About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for planning and delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in close partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and communities to ensure the tournament is delivered to world-class standards. About UEFA EURO 2028 The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, it will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing significant operational scale and requiring close coordination between host cities, stadiums, government partners and UEFA. The Role This is a senior leadership role within our Safety & Security function, working directly with the Director of Safety & Security. You will lead the Partner Relations and C3i workstream, shaping how security partners collaborate, how risk and assurance are governed, and how command, control, communications and intelligence arrangements are developed, tested and embedded ahead of tournament time. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, partnership and operational readiness, and is central to how the tournament’s security concept is designed and delivered. What you’ll be doing Developing the SSNS governance model and tournament-wide security risk framework. Leading partner engagement across Government, Host Cities, Policing, emergency services, and UEFA. Overseeing security assurance, reporting and structured data insight. Designing and testing tournament-time C3i arrangements, including readiness and training. Managing a complex workstream with clear milestones, risks and dependencies. Producing high-quality briefings and reports for senior stakeholders. What we’re looking for Senior experience operating in complex, multi-agency environments. Strong background in security governance, risk assessment and assurance. Experience working with public authorities and major partners. Ability to translate complexity into clear plans and decisions. Where is the role based? Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however, depending on your role, you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations. Because we are an event delivery organisation, time together in person is essential for effective planning and collaboration. In 2026, most colleagues work at least three days a week from Wembley. In 2027, this will increase to 3–4 days a week as operations intensify. In 2028, during tournament delivery, full-time onsite working will be required.
