Senior Estimator – Architectural Metalwork If you’re an experienced estimator and most of your time is spent firefighting poor information, reworking bids late, or carrying responsibility without influence, this will be worth a look. This is a senior estimating role within an established architectural metalwork business. The focus is pre-construction ownership rather than just pricing packages. What the role actually involves You’ll take responsibility for estimating architectural metalwork projects from enquiry through to submission. That includes: * Reviewing drawings, specs and scopes to build realistic, defensible costings * Producing competitive tenders with clear assumptions and margins * Engaging suppliers and subcontractors early to firm up risk and pricing * Identifying commercial and technical risks before bids go in, not after * Working closely with commercial leadership and delivery teams to shape bids properly There is also an expectation that you’ll support and guide other estimators, setting standards rather than just checking numbers.
