Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Do you have a passion for education? Are you an experienced higher level teaching assistant or a graduate looking for your next role within a specialist school?
Long Term Teachers are working with a fantastic academy based in Taunton, who are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to join their hard working, passionate team. Commencing in January 2024, the role will be working Monday to Friday, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Your main duties will include:
* Managing the classroom
* Running activities
* Leading 1:1 and small group interventions
* Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN
* Report writing and liaising with SLT on students progress
About you:
* Experience working with children, particularly Key Stage 3 and 4
* Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
* Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
* Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
* Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
